Dear walking friends,

We’ve already got three lovely walks under our belts and looking forward to hitting some more trails, and meeting even more of you!

We’ve set down our next few walks, so get out your diaries!

  • Sunday 14 May Boronia Park to North Ryde Great North Walk
  • Sunday 18 June Wollondilly Mermaid pools
  • Sunday 2 July Bundeena Jibbon track walk (with Aboriginal guide)

The walks will be co-hosted by the National Parks Association of NSW.

 

Boronia Park to North Ryde

When: Sunday 14 May, meet at 9.30am (walk takes around 3 hours)

Meet: Exact meeting spot details provided on RSVP to david.shoebridge@parliament.nsw.gov.au

Transport: Buses go to Boronia Park, trains from North Ryde

Bring: sensible shoes, sunscreen, hat, at least 2 litres of water per person, morning tea.

Mermaid Pools

When: Sunday 18 June, meet at 9.30am (walk takes around 3 hours)

Transport: Access by car, approximately 1 hour drive from Sydney CBD

Bring: sensible shoes, sunscreen, hat, at least 2 litres of water per person, morning tea.

Jibbon track walk (with Aboriginal guide – bush tucker and local heritage including engravings)

When: Sunday 2 July, meet at 10.00am (walk takes around 3.5 hours)

Meet: Exact meeting spot details provided on RSVP to david.shoebridge@parliament.nsw.gov.au

Transport: Ferry to Bundeena from Cronulla (9:30am ferry recommended), or private car

Bring: sensible shoes, sunscreen, hat, at least 2 litres of water per person, morning tea.
