Data and admin volunteer opportunity in Greens MP David Shoebridge’s office

Greens MP David Shoebridge’s office has a vacancy for an office volunteer to assist with the workings of the Parliamentary Office.

Our campaigns involve lots of data entry and we’re looking for people who can help us represent the people of NSW and support the work David does around the State.

We would prefer someone able to commit for half a day or a full day once week for at least a few months. At present we have vacancies available on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, and Fridays.
You will work as part of the team with the staff, David and other MPs.

Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, attention to detail and a keen interest in working as part of a team.

No specific workplace experience is required but an active interest in any of the policies of the office would be an asset, and of course a commitment to progressive politics and the Greens is required.

Issues our office works on include; working for a fairer justice system in NSW, an equitable and sustainable planning system, improving police oversight, working towards decent and humane compensation schemes, strengthening local democracy and opposing amateur hunting on public land and more.

The position involves:

  • Updating the website and contact management through the database
  • Cross checking data and finding up to date information
  • Assisting with administrative tasks

If you are interested please email with a brief cover letter and a current CV of no more than 2 pages. Please indicate your available days in your cover letter.

There is no formal interview process, but we will call potential volunteers, to give us an opportunity to speak with you and give you an opportunity to ask any questions you have.
