On the 30th anniversary of Mark Haines’ death, Mark’s final remains will be returned to Gomeroi country with a cremation being held by his family.
There is also expected to be a further announcement regarding the NSW Police’s criminal investigation into Mark’s case, which was last year transferred to the State Homicide Squad.
Mark Haines was found dead on train tracks just outside Tamworth on 16 January 1988, his family have not given up on demanding justice since.
