As the third most populated city in NSW, Wollongong is one of the most heavily targeted areas for drug dog searches outside Sydney. That’s why Sniff Off is launching in the Gong: to expand our coverage of drug dog reports and to spread the word across NSW about why the drug dog program needs to go.
Greens MP David Shoebridge will join the Sniff Off team and local Greens representatives to launch Sniff Off in the Illawarra, and share insights about the impact of the drug dog program on the area. The launch follows the successful launch in March 2018 of the program in Newcastle and the police’s most recent abuses of drug dogs to prevent young people attending music festivals.
